Jalapeno Crab Dip: A Cheesy, Spicy Delight

Introduction:

Jalapeno Crab Dip, a warm and delicious baked dip with a kick of jalapenos, is an incredibly cheesy dish. This is a favorite family recipe, and it’s often served during gatherings or celebrations. This dip, adapted from Emeril’s Everyday Is A Party Cookbook is great for any event.

Every Thanksgiving, my sister-in law makes this delicious dip. Due to travel restrictions this year, I was unable to make it to her house and missed the delicious dip and family gathering.

Recipe Adaptations. The original recipe was a little too spicy and salty for us, so I changed it a bit. I chose to use canned lump crab meat instead of fresh because it has a better texture. I also reduced the amount pickled jalapenos in order to better suit our tastes.

Recipes:

  • For a unique flavor and texture, use Parmigiano Reggiano.
  • To complement the dip, choose crackers with a relatively plain flavor.
  • Don’t forget to add cheese to the crusty edges.
  • This dip, while best served warm is also delicious at room temperature. It’s perfect for parties.
